James' first major bump...

On Saturday James got his first bad injury. Well, it looked worse than it was, but it was still so sad : ( Justin was pulling him in his wagon and he turned around for two seconds. Of course, James decided that he was going to get out in those two seconds. He fell and hit his head on the driveway. I was inside editing some jobs when Justin brought him in and I about passed out. This picture was taken a few hours later so it had actually gone down to almost half the size. He is doing fine now and the bump is completely gone and there is just a slight bruise left. Thank goodness!!!

James' Favorite Song...

I have a CD with a bunch of kids music and James' favorite song is "Six Little Duckies" He waddles around the kitchen with both hands behind his back for his feathers. It is so cute. As soon as he hears the song he gets up and starts dancing around.

19 months old and new words...

James' vocabulary is growing everyday, some of the new things that he says quite often are...

uh-oh
up
hat
hi
bye-bye
down
out
poop--he says this whether he has to pee or poop or if he has just gone
bath
Reece
jump
book
duck

Fun day outside...

The weather was so AWESOME today!! I took James outside first thing this morning to play. He has been sick the last couple of days so we couldn't go outside and enjoy the warmness, so today we took full advantage of it. We played outside at home for awhile and then we decided that it would be even more fun to play on a playground. We went inside, grabbed some juice, and headed to the 4H center. When James saw the playground I wish I would have had my video camera with me. He started screeching with delight and his whole body was shaking he was so excited. He kept pointing and cheesing and laughing bigger than I have ever seen him!! It was great. As soon as his feet hit the ground, he ran straight for the biggest slide that they have. I had to steer him over to the other slides and then after a slight fit he was content running up the steps and sliding down the smaller slide and then doing it again over and over. He did everything there was to do on the playground at least a dozen times each and then he decided to settle down and swing. He swung and swung for almost a whole hour! He kept just smiling and laughing and every once in awhile he would hold his hand up and give me a high five while swinging : ) It was such a great day. James even held my hand while he was looking for sticks to collect. Usually he wants to be on his own with me trailing close behind.

I am excited for the warm weather to stay and to have more fun playground days : D
